Ellen Witte, Principal and Partner SGS Economics & Planning
Ellen (BSocSc, MA International Eco and Geo Hons) is a Senior Associate and Partner at SGS and has worked across Australia and internationally. She is one of the company’s leaders in housing policy and climate change services.
Ellen has over 19 years of experience in consultancy. She has extensive experience in social, environmental and economic impact assessments, financial feasibility studies, cost benefit analyses and strategic assessments of facilities and land use projects. Ellen has advanced skills and experience in strategic policy advice and governance, including strategic planning, business case development and funding arrangements. Other key competences are strategic communication, workshop facilitation and consultation.
She is the leading force behind the biannual release of the national Rental Affordability Index (), in partnership with National Shelter and Community Sector Banking.
She provides advice on strategic commissioning for social and affordable housing, the use of urban planning mechanisms to support investment in social and affordable housing, economic impacts of (social and affordable) housing investment and evaluation frameworks to assess the effectiveness of housing programs.
