Policy brief - State facilitated development implementation and Incentivising Infill Development Fund
Join us for a lunchtime briefing from Planning Group on the implementation of State facilitated development. This session will also include an overview of the Incentivising Infill Development Fund.
State facilitated development is a major new assessment pathway enacted by the Housing Availability and Affordability (Planning and Other Legislation) Amendment Bill 2023.
Incentivising Infill Development Fund is a new $350 mil infrastructure fund to subsidise charges to support the delivery of more diverse, affordable, and well-located homes, faster.

Tyler Agius, Director, State Facilitated Development, Planning Group - speaking to State faciliated development implementation
Tyler Agius currently leads the creation of the new State Facilitated Development Team, a pivotal component of the Homes for Queenslanders plan. This team aims to expedite the planning process for state priority developments, specifically those that include affordable housing. Additionally, the State Facilitated Development Team will oversee five pilot projects, each designed to test different models of inclusionary planning in Queensland.
Before assuming this role, Tyler served as the Director of the Growth Areas Team, successfully delivering several key projects across South East Queensland. He also played a crucial role as the lead for Victoria’s Infrastructure Planning and Contributions system within the Victorian Planning Authority
